Apple announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on 9 September 2026, with pre-orders from 12 September and shipping from 18 September in 65 countries. Nigeria was not on that first list, so the price you pay here is set by importers, not by Apple.
This guide gives you the numbers Nigerian buyers are actually being quoted, the full specification list, and an honest view of whether the phone makes sense for your money.
Price note: every naira figure below is an estimate collected on 10 September 2026 from early Nigerian pre-order sellers and from converting Apple's dollar prices. Nigerian phone prices move with the exchange rate and with customs charges. Confirm the current price before you pay a deposit.
iPhone 18 Pro price in Nigeria today
Apple's official launch price is $1,199 for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro. At an indicative rate of about ₦1,350 to the dollar that is roughly ₦1.6 million before shipping, customs and the seller's margin.
What Nigerian buyers are being quoted is higher:
| Model | Apple US price | Typical Nigerian quote (Sept 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro 256GB | $1,199 | about ₦2,500,000 |
| iPhone 18 Pro 512GB | higher tier | about ₦2,900,000–₦3,200,000 |
| iPhone 18 Pro 1TB | higher tier | ₦3,400,000 and above |
Some Abuja and Lagos retailers have listed the Pro as high as ₦2.75m–₦4.35m excluding VAT while stock is scarce. Expect the gap between the dollar price and the naira price to shrink a little once units are freely available, exactly as it did with the iPhone 17 Pro.
A common arrangement is a 50% deposit to secure an allocation — roughly ₦1.25 million on a ₦2.5 million phone — with the balance on delivery. Never pay a deposit to a seller who cannot show you a business address and a paper receipt.

What actually changed from the iPhone 17 Pro
Three things matter, and the rest is polish.
- Variable aperture. This is the first iPhone where the main camera physically changes how much light it lets in. It matters most in dim Nigerian evenings and for group photos where you want faces at the back to stay sharp.
- Sustained performance. The bigger vapour chamber means the phone holds its speed instead of slowing down after ten minutes of recording or gaming — useful in 32°C heat.
- Battery life. Apple calls it the largest jump it has made, with faster top-ups from a five-minute charge.
The screen size, the general shape and the Face ID system are essentially the same as last year. If your iPhone 17 Pro still works well, the camera is the only compelling reason to change.
Availability in Nigeria: what to expect

Nigeria is not an Apple retail country. In practice you have four routes:
- Apple Authorised Resellers. The safest route for warranty purposes, usually the highest price.
- Established Nigerian importers. Computer Village in Ikeja, Ikeja City Mall dealers, and Abuja electronics stores. Prices vary widely; so does honesty.
- Personal import. Buy from an Apple Store abroad and ship it in. See our guide on what it costs to import the iPhone 18 Pro before you commit.
- UK-used units. These usually appear two to three months after launch and cost noticeably less. Read our UK-used price guide first.
Units usually reach Lagos within one to three weeks of the global launch date, with prices at their highest in the first month.
Is the iPhone 18 Pro worth ₦2.5 million in Nigeria?
Be honest with yourself about the maths. ₦2.5 million is more than five of the best phones we sell, put together. For that money you are buying:
- The best phone camera you can currently hold
- Software updates for roughly six or seven years
- Strong resale value, which is real in Nigeria
- A screen and speed that will not feel slow in 2031
What you are also buying is a phone that costs ₦150,000 or more to repair if the screen breaks, that attracts attention on the street, and that you will not be able to insure easily.
If it is your work tool — you shoot content, you sell online, you travel — it earns its keep. If it is mainly for WhatsApp, banking and photos of the family, you are paying an enormous premium for the last 10% of quality.
Cheaper phones that do 90% of the job
Our whole catalogue sits between ₦60,000 and ₦500,000, and several of those phones will handle everything most people do:
- Best phones under ₦500,000 — the closest thing to flagship performance at a Nigerian price
- Best camera phones — where to put your money if photos are the reason you wanted the Pro
- Best battery phones — for long days and unreliable power
- Best iPhone 18 Pro alternatives — our direct swaps, with prices
Before you pay for an iPhone 18 Pro
- Confirm the exact model, storage and colour in writing.
- Confirm whether the unit has a physical SIM tray.
- Ask whether the price includes VAT, customs and delivery.
- Check the IMEI against Apple's coverage page in front of the seller.
- Pay to a registered business account, never to a personal account you cannot trace.
- Read things to check before buying and how to spot a fake or refurbished unit.
If you would rather spend a fraction of that money and still get a phone that lasts, message us on WhatsApp and tell us your budget. We will send you three honest options.
