Buying help & FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we get asked most on WhatsApp.
What does brand new, UK used and refurbished mean in Nigeria?
Brand new means sealed, unused and covered by manufacturer warranty. UK used (also called foreign used) means a second-hand phone imported from abroad — cheaper, but with unknown battery health and no manufacturer warranty. Refurbished means a used phone repaired and resold, often with a short seller warranty. Every phone listed on this site is brand new.
How much should I spend on a phone in Nigeria?
Under ₦100,000 gets you a dependable everyday phone with a big battery. ₦100,000–₦150,000 usually adds a sharper screen and better main camera. ₦150,000–₦250,000 brings stronger processors, AMOLED screens and 5G. Above ₦250,000 you are paying for camera quality, build and longer software support.
Is 5G worth paying for in Nigeria right now?
5G coverage exists in parts of Lagos, Abuja and a few other cities. If you live in a covered area and plan to keep the phone for three or more years, it is worth it. Otherwise put the money into battery, storage or camera instead.
How much RAM and storage do I need?
For everyday use and social media, 6GB or 8GB of RAM is comfortable. For storage, 128GB is the sensible minimum in 2026 — 256GB if you shoot a lot of video or keep large games installed.
Why do phone prices in Nigeria change so often?
Most phones are imported, so prices move with the exchange rate, customs charges and stock levels. That is why every price on this site shows the retailer it came from and the date it was last checked.
How do I check a phone is genuine before paying?
Dial *#06# to see the IMEI and confirm it matches the box. Check the seal, look for the official brand sticker, and confirm the model number in Settings matches what you ordered. Buy from a seller who lets you inspect the phone before payment.
Do the prices on this site include delivery?
